Biography

My research team were the first in the world to identify stem cells in umbilical cord blood and to differentiate them into hepatic, neural, and pancreatic tissues. We went on to develop stem cell techniques from umbilical cord blood, adipose tissues, bone marrow, and skin to create other organ-related tissues, including bone, cartilage, and other soft and hard tissues. We also went on to develop dental pulp processing techniques for stem cells to differentiate into bone, cartilage, fat, and neural tissues. Many of our techniques have been developed for standard research, but some have also been developed for clinical processing. We collaborate widely and have both collaborators and clients in Asia, Europe, and America.
