About this project
London Cartilage Clinic, an IAMRegen Centre of Excellence, welcomes clinicians and researchers interested in developing their knowledge of cartilage repair, biological joint preservation and regenerative orthopaedics. Led by Professor Paul Lee, the visiting fellowship provides an opportunity to experience how regenerative treatments are assessed, planned and delivered within a specialist clinical environment. Based on Harley Street, in the heart of London’s renowned medical district, fellows will have the opportunity to learn within an internationally recognised setting for medicine and healthcare. Fellows will observe the patient pathway from clinical assessment and imaging review through to treatment planning, procedural delivery and optimised recovery protocols. The project focuses on NanoACi and the wider RegenRepair™ approach to cartilage regeneration, combining ChondroFiller, Mytocel MSK autologous cartilage cells obtained from behind the ear, and PRP or PRF. Visiting fellows may observe relevant procedures, participate in case-based discussions and explore the scientific and clinical principles behind each component of the treatments. The fellowship introduces the wider RegenRepair™ philosophy: treating the patient rather than looking at the joint in isolation. This includes patient selection, biological optimisation, rehabilitation planning and the integration of regenerative technologies into personalised care. The programme is designed to encourage the international exchange of knowledge, strengthen clinical collaboration and support the development of responsible, evidence-informed regenerative practice. The content of each visit may be adapted according to the fellow’s clinical background, learning objectives, visit duration and the available clinical caseload.
